How often should I have dental exams and cleanings?

Prevention is the key to achieving a lifetime of excellent oral health. In order to maintain your healthy smile, you can schedule dental exams and professional cleanings every six months or general dentistry | dental exams | berkeley as often as necessary.

We understand it can be easy to let dental appointments fall by the wayside when you’re trying to juggle all your family’s obligations. It can also be tempting to put off routine checkups if you know you’re brushing and flossing properly and don’t have any problems.

But that is exactly when you need your routine preventive care – while your teeth are healthy and before anything goes wrong. As much as we enjoy seeing you, we’d rather it not be when you’re experiencing a problem!

Preventative Dentistry

Prevention is critical because dental conditions don’t always announce themselves with pain and don't usually become full-blown over night. They often develop and start to damage your tooth structure long before you feel any discomfort at all.

At Berkeley Prosthodontics and General Dentistry, we can make things a little more convenient for you by scheduling out your routine exams so all you need to do is show up at our office at the appointed time. Following this semi-annual schedule and keeping up with your appointments is your best insurance against future dental problems.

If you are due for a checkup, please call us so we can arrange a cleaning and exam and take steps to keep your smile in optimal health.
